Your Mission
As Global Product Manager Suspension Products (m/w/d), you will drive product management, product launches, and market activities within the aftermarket. Your responsibilities will include maintaining product and SAP master data, coordinating closely with SCM and Quality, supporting pricing and market analysis, and contributing to project management, forecasting, and business case development. In this role, you will manage a portfolio of suspension products, supporting their growth, profitability, and market competitiveness
Your tasks
Product Management & Master Data
- Create and continuously update product management documents, including product master files, cross-references and vehicle linkages
- Create and maintain product master data in SAP.
- Compile and maintain product catalogs and support their launch on online platforms.
- Define and optimize product bundling concepts, such as kits and assemblies.
Product Lifecycle
- Forecast product demand by estimating peak sales volumes and defining ramp-up and ramp-down scenarios throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage product supersession and discontinuation activities, ensuring a regular and strategic optimization of the product portfolio.
- Identify market opportunities and determine the most suitable products and optimal timing for successful product launches.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with SCM on product lifecycle management including initial stock preparation and tracking of existing inventory.
- Coordinate with Quality on technical knowledge transfer, product training, product quality checks and warranty processes.
- Coordinate product launches in the aftermarket and define their pricing strategy
Market Analysis
- Conduct competitive benchmark analyses from both commercial and technical perspectives.
- Identify portfolio gaps and assess their commercial viability through business case evaluation
Project Management & Business Development
- Lead and track projects with regards to resources, time, cost, and quality.
- Support the development and evaluation of product innovations and business cases.
- Prepare trade fairs and support market launches for new products.
- Plan and manage outbound marketing and sales activities.
Your profile
- Successfully completed university degree, preferably in Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field.
- At least min. 3 years of experience in market analysis or data management, preferably in the automotive aftermarket.
- Knowledge of OE and competitor reference structures is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to structure complex topics and translate findings into clear business recommendations.
- Advanced skills in Excel or BI tools such as Power BI for data analysis.
- SAP user knowledge is a plus
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills in international and cross-functional settings.
- Very good English language skills; additional language skills (esp. German) are beneficial.
- Engineering knowledge/background would be a plus.
