Your responsibilities

  • Maintains a safe work environment by complying with all safety regulations and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocate and promote a safe work environment by reporting accidents and/or other environmental and safety hazards, wearing all required personal protective equipment and encouraging others to do the same.
  • Develop and implement direct material scheduling agreements with suppliers where appropriate.
  • Create and maintain SAP master data for direct material suppliers (vendor master, material master, record information, price maintenance, scheduling contracts and purchase orders).
  • Responsible for direct material supplier qualification (Supplier Evaluation).
  • Assist Commodity Managers in Europe with direct material supplier negotiations and strategies.
  • Visit new and existing direct material suppliers representing thyssenKrupp DC San Miguel de Allende, in a professional manner and in accordance with organizational policies (Supplier Relationship Management).
  • Support the development of new direct material suppliers in cooperation with commodity managers and quality corporations.
  • Support negotiations with direct material suppliers in conjunction with the department's Commodity Manager and in support of the Americas region.
  • Work with program management team and secure purchase orders for new projects along with supply chain to ensure material arrives on time.
  • Assist the program/quality management team with all change requests with new and current direct material suppliers.

Your profile

  • Minimum 3 years in similar position.
  • Experience in the automotive industry.
  • Advanced English is mandatory.
  • Knowledge in documentation and process mapping.
  • Excellent command of programs such as: cost savings and cost avoidance.
  • Risk analysis (SWOT).
  • Management, Organization and Control of Direct Procurement issues.
  • New project management and supplier development.
  • Analysis and implementation of new business models.
  • Elaboration and analysis of cost breakdowns.
  • Knowledge of APQP.
  • IATF: 16949/ISO: 14001/ISO 45001 audits.
