Your responsibilities

Aim of the position

The Cost Estimator will be part of a proposal team for international studies and EPF projects (Engineering, Procurement, and Fabrication). You will be mainly responsible for calculating service packages and complete delivery packages for green hydrogen products and service calculations. You will support a global network of Business Development & Sales Teams with standardized processes and proposal documents.


Main responsibilities and Contents

  • Coordinating and preparing cost estimates for budget proposals up to binding fixed-price offers, including studies and service calculations as well as pure and combined engineering and delivery services;
  • Involving all relevant engineering and delivery disciplines as well as project management and commercial proposal disciplines (commercial areas, tax department, etc.);
  • Working closely with Bid Controlling and the proposal team;
  • Ensuring timely and quality-assured preparation of the overall calculation, also in cooperation with our subsidiaries and partner companies worldwide;
  • Benchmarking with completed orders or orders in progress;
  • Plausibility considerations and determination of key figures are also part of your tasks;
  • Contributing to the further development of our calculation tools and are willing to undertake occasional short business trips to coordinate calculations with subsidiaries and partners.

Your profile

Skills, qualifications and abilities


The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering in the fields of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field.
  • Several years of professional experience in chemical plant construction or a comparable environment.
  • Proficiency in modern PC software and language, especially MS Excel and database systems.
  • You are sociable, have a high degree of initiative, and enjoy working in a team.
  • You have a conscientious and precise way of working.
  • You have very good Italian and English skills, both written and spoken.
  • You are willing to undertake occasional short business trips due to the international nature of our business.
