Job Summary

Bilingual Training Specialist– Manufacturing Operations is responsible for delivering high-impact orientation and operational training programs that ensure employees meet safety, quality, and productivity standards. This role facilitates classroom and hands-on training, evaluates competency during the 90-day onboarding period, and supports the continuous improvement of training programs and materials.
This position plays a critical role in workforce readiness, standardization of procedures, and operational excellence.

Le ou la Spécialiste bilingue de la formation – Opérations manufacturières est responsable de la conception et de l’animation de programmes d’orientation et de formation opérationnelle à fort impact, afin de veiller à ce que les employés respectent les normes de sécurité, de qualité et de productivité. Cette personne dispense des formations en salle de classe et sur le terrain, évalue les compétences durant la période d’intégration de 90 jours et contribue à l’amélioration continue des programmes et du matériel de formation.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation programs.
  • Deliver classroom and on-the-floor training to new and existing employees.
  • Train employees on quality standards, inspection methods, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Conduct micro-learning sessions and refresher training programs.
  • Administer written tests and hands-on proficiency assessments.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and provide feedback to leadership.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant training documentation and records.
  • Assist in developing and updating training materials using PowerPoint and other learning tools.
  • Support the consistent application of standard operating procedures across departments and shifts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to training and employee development.
  • Support special projects and cross-functional training initiatives as assigned.
  • Support and assist in the oversight of the Training Ambassador program

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to learn and correctly use additional measurement instruments (such as calipers, micrometers, and others as required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior experience delivering classroom and hands-on training in a formal or informal capacity.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging to different learning styles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint.
  • Ability to keep learners engaged throughout classroom sessions
  • Ability to learn and correctly use measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to train employees at all organizational levels
  • Bilingual (French/English)

Preferred Requirements:

  • Two-year college degree in related field
  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory
  • Experience facilitating micro-learning or blended learning classroom sessions.
  • Familiarity with skilled-based manufacturing training programs.
  • Experience with basic measurement instruments.

  • Soutenir l’application uniforme des procédures opérationnelles normalisées dans tous les départements et sur tous les quarts de travail.
  • Contribuer aux initiatives d’amélioration continue liées à la formation et au développement des employés.
  • Participer à des projets spéciaux et à des initiatives de formation interfonctionnelles, selon les besoins.
  • Soutenir et contribuer à la supervision du programme des ambassadeurs de la formation.
  • Adhérer aux attributs et compétences des employés de TKMNA.
  • Déplacements requis jusqu’à 30 % du temps.

Qualifications

Exigences minimales

  • Capacité d’apprendre à utiliser correctement divers instruments de mesure additionnels (tels que des pieds à coulisse, micromètres et autres outils requis).
  • Minimum de deux (2) années d’expérience dans un environnement manufacturier.
  • Expérience préalable en animation de formations en salle de classe et pratiques, dans un cadre formel ou informel.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication et capacité d’adapter le contenu de la formation à différents styles d’apprentissage.
  • Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office, notamment PowerPoint.
  • Capacité à maintenir l’engagement des participants tout au long des séances de formation.
  • Capacité d’apprendre à utiliser correctement des instruments de mesure (pieds à coulisse, micromètres, jauges, etc.).
  • Excellentes habiletés interpersonnelles et capacité à former des employés à tous les niveaux de l’organisation.
  • Bilinguisme français–anglais.

  • Diplôme d’études collégiales de deux ans dans un domaine connexe.
  • Connaissance des principes de l’andragogie (théorie de l’apprentissage des adultes).
  • Expérience en animation de séances de micro apprentissage ou de formations hybrides.
  • Connaissance des programmes de formation manufacturière axés sur le développement des compétences.
  • Expérience avec les instruments de mesure de base.

Job Compensation

Compensation: The expected hiring range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 CAD per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
