Your responsibilities

As a manufacturing technician in our Bilstein Technical Center (BTC) you will manufacture automotive shock absorbers. Some of your job duties will include:

  • Cleaning and preparing parts and sub-assemblies
  • Assembling shocks based on drawings or work instructions
  • Assembling accessory kits and small parts for inventory
  • Performing visual and mechanical inspection of parts, sub-assemblies and assemblies for quality issues.
  • Assembling shock absorbers on gas/oil fill machine and testing on dynamometer
  • Assisting in collecting and recording data for analyzing valving, performance, fitment and part failure
  • Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order

Your profile

Our ideal candidate has a manufacturing background and enjoys working with their hands in a physical role. We love that many of our team are automotive enthusiasts- but don't worry if you're new to suspension. As long as you have a mechanical or manufacturing background and a desire to learn we can teach you the rest.

  • One to two years related experience and/or training in a manufacturing or assembly environment
  • Intermediate knowledge, skill and ability to operate hand tools, machine equipment, gas/oil fill and dynamometer
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams and other written instructions
  • Intermediate computer skills to understand and navigate the utilization of company software programs such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft
  • Certificate from technical or vocational school desired
