Your responsibilities
Position Summary: This is a 3rd shift position. Assemble a variety of slewing bearings, refurbished and new production bearings.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly and inspection on all models of slewing bearings and other assembly work
- Operate bridge crane, measuring equipment and specialized hand tools
- Read and understand blueprints, work instructions
- Perform torque tests and various clearance measurements
- Keep inventory count of material
- Maintain equipment and tools to proper working order
- Perform 6S and safety responsibilities in work area
- Ability to work overtime
- Communicate department needs with supervisor
Education, Skills and abilities:
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software applications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous machining experience and practices a must
- Blueprint and GD&T knowledge necessary
Work Environment: Manufacturing environment. Noise level is moderate. PPE must be worn at all times.
Export Control: This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.
