Job Summary
Résumé du poste :Sous la supervision générale du Directeur Corporatif de la santé et sécurité au travail, le titulaire reporte directement au directeur d'usine.
Le titulaire du poste joue un rôle de leader, d'éducateur, de liaison et de partenaire dans la recherche de l'excellence et de la valeur dans l'usine usine et/ou les bureaux en utilisant les concepts de l'amélioration continue dans la résolution des problèmes. Il doit comprendre et communiquer les problèmes et les données relatives qui ont un impact sur la qualité de la sécurité, ainsi que les outils d'amélioration nécessaires pour soutenir un changement de culture en faveur d'une sécurité comportementale.
Summary of Position:
Work under the general guidance of the Corporate Safety Practitioner, reports directly to the operational Manager. The Safety Champion acts as mentor, educator, liaison and partner in pursuing excellence and value in the plants and/or office using the concepts of Continuous Improvement problem solving. The Safety Champion must understand and communicate the issues and relative data that impact the quality of Safety, as well as the improvement tools
necessary to support a culture change for behavioral based safety. Plays a key role in the
implementation of the environmental management system.
Job Description
Vos responsabilités
- Fournir un encadrement et une formation formelle et informelle pour soutenir un environnement de travail sûr en permanence.
- Éduquer - Sensibiliser, s'approprier, respecter les conformités. Faciliter le processus du comité de sécurité.
- Former le personnel des opérations et des bureaux aux processus et pratiques de sécurité, aux nouvelles initiatives et à la prévention des blessures et des accidents.
- Administrer et monitorer les initiatives de sécurité basées sur le comportement. Jouer un rôle clé dans l'évolution et la promotion d'une culture de la sécurité au sein de l'entreprise.
- Identifier, optimiser, normaliser et maintenir l'exécution des meilleures pratiques en matière de sécurité.
- Contrôler et examiner les performances et fournir des conseils pour atteindre tous les objectifs fixés en matière d'évitement des blessures et des accidents (enregistrables et non enregistrables).
- Assurer le retour d'information et le suivi des inspections/observations antérieures et suggérer des domaines d'amélioration au personnel d'exploitation et à la direction générale.
- Recueillir des données sur les pratiques critiques en matière de sécurité, résoudre les problèmes de manière intensive afin de corriger les causes profondes et d'assurer une amélioration continue.
- Enregistrer et tenir à jour la documentation,
- Surveiller, maintenir la visibilité et réviser en permanence la conformité.
- Faciliter les réunions du comité de sécurité, la communication bilatérale et d'autres moyens de communication concernant les performances en matière de sécurité, les incidents et d'autres données connexes.
- Mesurer, maintenir la visibilité lors de tous les événements formels et informels, les activités et le suivi.
Amélioration continue
- Aider à diriger simultanément de nombreux projets d'optimisation opérationnelle afin de mettre au point de nouveaux processus.
- Aider à développer les capacités de l'équipe à utiliser les outils de résolution de problèmes de base.
- Faciliter le « brainstorming », l'évaluation des idées, le suivi des équipes et l'élaboration du plan de mise en œuvre (suivi).
- Documenter et suivre tous les projets du département.
- Soutenir et contribuer à l'élaboration de programmes et d'initiatives « Lean », en veillant à l'amélioration continue des performances et au développement des capacités.
- Respecter les mesures de performance (évaluations, audits, observations, enregistrements)
- Mesures, maintien de la visibilité de tous les événements, activités et suivis formels et informels.
- Déplacements nécessaires dans l'ensemble de l'organisation et pour participer aux séminaires de formation appropriés.
- Soutenir l’exécution et analyse des mesures de rapport sur la qualité en matière de sécurité et d'économie.
- Posséder les qualités et compétences exigées des employés de TKMNA.

- Provide coaching, formal and informal training in support of on-going safe work environments
- Educate - Awareness, ownership, compliance. Facilitates safety committee process.
- Provide training to operations/office personnel on safety processes and practices, new initiatives and injury and accident avoidance.
- Administer and monitor Behavior Based Safety initiatives. Will play a key role in changing and fostering a corporate safety culture.
- Identify, optimize, standardize, and maintain execution of best Safety practices
- Monitors and reviews performance and provides guidance to meet all set goals in injury and accident avoidance (recordable and non-recordable)
- Responsible for feedback and follow-up on historical inspections/observations and suggest areas of improvement to operations personnel and upper management.
- Collect data on critical safety practices, heavy on-going problem solving for root cause correction and on-going Continuous improvement.
- Records and maintains documentation,
- Monitors, maintains visibility and reviews consistently for compliance.
- Facilitates safety committee meetings, two-way communication, and other communication mediums regarding safety performance, incidents, and other related data.
- Measurements, maintain visibility of all formal and informal events, activities, follow-up.
Continuous Improvement
- Assist in leading numerous operational optimization projects simultaneously to develop new processes.
- Assist in developing team capabilities to utilize tools of basic problem-solving
- Facilitate brainstorming, idea evaluation/assessment, tracking of employee-based teams and implementation plan development (follow up)
- Document and track all departmental projects
- Support and provide input to the development of Lean Programs and initiatives, ensuring continuous performance improvement and capability development.
- Meet performance measurements (Assessments, Audits, Observations, Records)
- Measurements, maintain visibility of all formal and informal events, activities, follow-up
- Supports, executes and analyzes Safety-Lean quality-reporting measures

Qualifications:
- Diplôme collégial ou certificat dans un domaine technique ou dans un domaine connexe
- Expérience préalable de la production allégée (minimum 3 ans)
- Compétences avérées en matière de leadership et de facilitation de la formation
- Bonne communication interpersonnelle, écrite et verbale
- Parfaitement bilingue (français et anglais)
- Certification Lean PME ou autre certification Lean accréditée
- Excellentes compétences informatiques - Power point, Excel, Word, Visio et Project

- College degree or certificate in a technical area or related field
- Prior Lean experience, minimum of 3 years
- Demonstrated leadership and training facilitation skills
- Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
- Fully bilingual (French & English)
- Problem-solving skills and mindset
- SME Lean Certification or other accredited Lean certification
- Excellent Computer skills – Power point, Excel, Word, Visio and Project
