Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Leads and maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Advocates for and promotes a safe work environment by reporting Near Misses and/or other safety and environmental hazards, wearing all required PPE and encouraging others to do the same.• Installs and leads a culture of customer service.• Holds requestors (customers) accountable for the integrity of PTS work submission content.• Responsibility to lead a team of technicians to complete work orders on time according to schedule and with all customer deliverables satisfied.• Interfaces with Acquisitions and MPP Product Engineering on strategic planning of future work orders.• Strong and proven leadership skills with the ability to assign and prioritize daily tasks to technicians based on a complex schedule with multiple work orders moving in parallel.• Regular interaction with PTS Supervisor counterparts in Germany to exchange best practices and lessons learned.• Sets and manages the schedule for PTS and other GES resources with daily progress reports maintained digitally from morning huddles.• Provides training and coaching for employees in work-related activities, personal growth, performance and career development. Develops team capabilities to meet organizational needs for the short and long-term future.• Maintains and prepares the relevant KPIs for daily, weekly, and monthly reporting.• Leads 6s efforts for the PTS areas in the BTC with support from the other 6S Champions to improve the organization and cleanliness of the BTC.• Maintains training roster for PTS Staff with support from GES Management to continue to grow skills within the lab.• Communicates critical issues with builds to the internal stakeholders in a timely matter and follows-through with solutions until the build is completed. Date Posted: 2/24/23• Prepares the PTS for future projects with requests for fixturing, tooling, new equipment, and other needs in advance based on kick-off meetings from PRM + MPP Product.• Responsible for delivering relevant hourly tracking for PTS staff to CAR for monthly costing purposes.
Profil
Qualifications & Experience:• Successful experience as a supervisor or manager of people in an operations environment with a strong "on-floor" presence. Hands on management style is required.• Extensive experience with basic hand tools such as wrenches, drivers, vices, hammers, and punches.• Extensive experience in damper assembly and common practices.• Knowledge of and experience implementing 6S principles and executing continuous improvements.• Working knowledge of passive damper construction and function. Basic working knowledge of semi-active damper construction and function.• Experience building workflows in SharePoint.• Proven experience with quality systems (inspection and/or control plans).• Valid US driver’s license with exceptional safety record.• Demonstrated experience interpreting engineering drawings.• Working knowledge and experience using measurement technology to include load cells, calipers, height gauges, angle gauges and displacement sensors.• Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, Outlook, etc.). Education:• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
