Aufgaben
POSITION SUMMARY: This first shift position operates lift trucks, overhead crane, hand trucks, manipulators and other material handling equipment to move material and finished parts throughout various departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & REPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform duties to assist the Press Operator in making proper size billet.
- Direct material handler in proper location of material on transfer table.
- Place shovel of coal on billet when billet is sticking to die.
- Use broom to sweep scale off platen. Use tongs to place slugs in scrap barrel. Keep punches sorted by size.
- Assist Press Operator in changing platens and dies and performing minor repairs and adjustments.
- Relieves Press Operator.
- Maintain a safe working environment. Wear all required PPE.
TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate and focus on continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Work with co-workers in a friendly non-competitive environment.
- Work in and develop a team atmosphere with co-workers.
SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Noise level is loud. Hearing protection is provided and must be worn. High heat in summer months.
EXPORT CONTROL: This position requires access to export-controlled technical data or technology. Employment is contingent upon thyssenkrupp's ability to obtain any required export authorization from the appropriate government agency or agencies.

Current hourly rate: $29.46
Hourly rate as of October 1, 2026 - $30.34
