Salary range based on experience/education: $70,000 - $85,000 / annually
Shift: 2-2-3 rotation, 5a-5pm
The Maintenance Engineer reports to the Senior Controls Engineer and is responsible for hands-on troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining production equipment to improve machine availability, reliability, and efficiency. The position systematically addresses equipment issues, performs corrective and preventive maintenance, and supports reliability improvement activities.
- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing production equipment (hands on), including corrective and preventive maintenance
- Addressing and analyzing downtime occurrences and equipment failures
- Planning and implementation of preventive and/or predictive maintenance activities
- Improving equipment reliability and repair quality
- Create and maintain documentation related to repair quality and work instructions
- Evaluating and completing P.Ms on machinery
- Coordinate and participate in maintenance activities in assigned areas, providing technical support and hands-on assistance as required.
- Support the development of an effective spare parts inventory system
- Champion for documentation creation and control to improve repair quality and reduce time for repair on planned and unplanned activities
Profil
Qualifications:
- Education/Credentials/Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Technology related field, or 6+ years of experience in a technical field in a manufacturing environment
- Length of Experience
- Previous experience (3+) in manufacturing in a maintenance or engineering role preferred.
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
- Ability to effectively use mechanical measurement, alignment, hydraulic/pneumatic diagnostic, and condition-monitoring tools to troubleshoot, inspect, and evaluate industrial machinery.
- Automated manufacturing equipment
- CNC experience is desired
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of mechanical power transmission systems, spindles, bearings, ball screws, guideways, couplings, pumps, and related machine components
- Ability to use mechanical measurement and diagnostic tools
- Excellent oral and written language ability
- Ability to learn and apply maintenance best practices
- Excellent reasoning and problem-solving ability
- Ability to pay extreme attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to collect and interpret data
