Position Overview:
The Estimator is responsible for working with Project Managers and Project Engineers to generate proposals to support the sales of Parts and Services. The position requires the Estimator to have a good understanding of the Procurement and Logistics functions and the ability to read and understand technical drawings. This position is based in Milwaukee, WI and requires no travel.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Engage with Project Managers and Project Engineers to support the sales of Parts and Services
Prepare cost estimates and written proposals for Parts and Services
Follow up with customers after proposals are delivered
Communicate with suppliers to request pricing and lead times for subcontracted parts and services including obtaining shipping costs
Maintain and update standard pricing documents for use by Sales
Engage with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Quality to determine price and lead time of products to be quoted
Tracks and triggers project invoices after shipment to customers, assists with expediting of parts and proposals when required
Ensure that Company safety policies, including all procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to at all times
Profil
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
An Associates and/or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Engineering, Business and/or Operations.
Experience estimating costs/pricing for heavy/large equipment manufacturer
Ability to read/ interpret mechanical equipment drawings and ability to understand and communicate technical concepts is critical to the success of this position
Good verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
A valid driver's license
Additional Qualifications:
Experience in the paper, cement, mining, or mineral industries preferred
Technical background regarding rotary kiln and grinding mill parts and equipment
Ability to negotiate
Well organized and detail oriented
Able to show initiative and decisiveness
Work well within a team environment
Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience is a plus
SAP experience is a plus
