Aufgaben
You will play a key role in designing and building scalable data platforms and pipelines that support business-critical analytics and applications. You will work across the full data lifecycle, from ingestion and transformation to storage and optimization, ensuring data is reliable, accessible, and ready for use.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain data warehouse solutions
- Build robust ETL pipelines to ingest and transform data from various sources into target storage (cloud, data lake, warehouse), ensuring data integrity
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including APIs, third-party services, and internal systems
- Analyze and optimize query performance and storage solutions to handle large-scale datasets efficiently
- Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and validation processes to ensure reliability and security
- Implement and maintain database solutions using SQL and NoSQL databases
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, web application developers, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and ensure it is readily available and accessible
- Document data processes, pipelines, and systems, and promote best practices in data engineering and data management
Profil
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and experience with solutions such as Databricks
- Strong Python skills for data processing, scripting, and automation (including PySpark)
- Experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and SQLAlchemy; ideally some exposure to API development (FastAPI)
- Experience with ETL tools and frameworks such as Apache Airflow or Kafka
- Strong expertise in SQL for querying, database management, and performance tuning
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity
