Quality Engineer (QE)
📍 Location: Bolingbrook, IL | 💼 Full-Time
💰 Salary Range: $80K + $15K annually bonus incentive

Role Summary
🔍 Core Responsibilities
Drive compliance with customer quality metrics and expectations
Investigate internal/external quality issues using tools like 5-Why, Fishbone, and 8D
Partner with operations on quality planning for new equipment and process changes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reduce defect rates.
Lead or support internal and external audits
Train and guide production teams on quality tools and systems
Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and validate incoming materials
Manage non-conforming inventory and coordinate timely disposition
Maintain quality documentation and performance data, including charts, graphs, and trend analysis
Ensure branches meet corrective action and customer satisfaction goals
Support a culture of continuous improvement and quality ownership at all levels
📋 Minimum Requirements
Proficient in Quality Science principles and tools
Familiar with ISO 9001, ASTM standards, IATF 16949
Experience conducting Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) and Continuous Improvement initiatives
Strong PC skills (Excel, Word, data analysis tools); capable of interpreting technical drawings
Effective written and verbal communication skills
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing (preferably metals)
AS9100 internal auditor certification or eligibility
Six Sigma Greenbelt certification or training
Experience with ERP and Quality Management Systems (SAP preferred)
Job Compensation
$80K+ Bonus Incentive PIC $15k
