Job Summary
The Manager, IT Procurement is a managerial position within ThyssenKrupp Materials N.A. responsible for the day-to-day activities related to the Procurement and Vendor Management department. This role supports both IT and Business Units requests for hardware, software and services purchases. This position sets strategy and educates users as to the process for executing purchases.This position requires a combination of negotiation strategies, industry knowledge, legal insights, business acumen, and leadership skills to succeed.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities
Business Procurement Management
Responsible for all IT related purchases
Manages the companies online portal, catalog and process for IT purchases
Addresses business requests for new catalog items
Works as an entry point for all new vendor discussions, guiding users on proper protocols and establishment of necessary contractual agreements
Ensures that employees are trained and aware of proper procurement steps
Owns the contract repository and maintains the completeness of agreements, as needed
Issues and tracks purchase orders for all IT purchases
Contract and Legal
Reviews pending contracts and renewals for completeness and adherence to tk’s legal standards
Works with tk Legal to manage reviews of proposed T&C’s and laisons with vendors to complete contractual negotiations
Serves as the lead negotiator on pricing, commercial terms, etc. and partners with the associated stakeholders to complete agreements most beneficial to the company
Facilitates collaboration and partnership across other IT teams and business stakeholders.
Vendor Management
Collaborates across IT and other relevant business departments to define, design, and implement a strategy and operationalizes key vendor agreements
Takes the lead in scheduling and running vendor QBR’s, Annual Reviews, etc. with key service providers and includes applicable IT and business stakeholders
Builds relationships with Key vendor POC’s
Serves as an escalation point for any vendor-related performance issues
Stays informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT Procurement functions.
Continuously seeks opportunities to optimize existing processes and solutions.
Owns the end-to-end process of RFP’s, RFI’s, RFQ’s

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
University degree in the field of Business Administration or other relevant degree
5+ years IT procurement or contract management
Preferred Requirements
Master’s degree in
CPPM Certified
5+ years Related Management Experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Extensive experience in legal review of Commercial Terms and Conditions
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strategic thinking and the ability to align solutions with organizational goals.
