Job Summary

Represent thyssenkrupp Materials, NA in a positive manner by providing customers with quick, precise, helpful, courteous and professional delivery service. Ensure truck is in proper working order. Perform various duties as required.
Job Description
Responsabilités clés :
- s'assurer que les bons articles sont chargés dans le camion en vue de la livraison;
- effectuer des inspections périodiques avant, pendant et après la livraison pour s'assurer que le chargement est bien attaché et sécuritaire;
- aider à charger et à décharger les camions tout en s'assurant que le camion est sécuritaire et qu'il n'est pas surchargé;
- s'assurer que les matériaux sont convenablement protégés des intempéries;
- remettre les produits et documents aux clients en temps opportun et de manière courtoise;
- veiller à ce que tout dégât causé par le chargement ou le déchargement du camion soit nettoyé;
- veiller à l'entretien du camion et effectuer les inspections requises;
- remplir toute la documentation requise à la fin du quart de travail. Il peut notamment s'agir de registres quotidiens, de registres d'inspection, de reçus de livraison, de rapports d'inspection du véhicule, du registre des heures de travail, etc.;
- utiliser des ponts roulants et des chariots élévateurs;
- recueillir le paiement dans les cas de livraison contre remboursement;
- donner une rétroaction aux superviseurs quant aux problèmes des clients, aux problèmes mécaniques ou aux difficultés relatives à la livraison en ramenant les documents de preuve de livraison (feuille de chargement);
- participer à des activités relatives à la gestion allégée ou à la qualité;
- former d'autres employés, au besoin;
- posséder les qualités et compétences exigées des employés de TKMNA;

Qualifications :
Exigences minimales :
- diplôme d'études secondaires ou formation générale;
- permis de conduire de classe appropriée (c.-à-d. permis de conduire commercial de classe A ou B ou de classe 1 au Canada);
- capacité de soulever régulièrement des charges pouvant atteindre 40 lb.
Atouts :
- trois à cinq ans d'expérience de conduite.
Key Accountabilities:
- Verify that correct items are loaded on the truck for delivery.
- Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secure.
- Assist in loading and unloading of trucks. Ensure truck is properly secured and not overweight.
- Ensure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements.
- Deliver product and proper paperwork to our customers in a courteous and timely manner.
- Ensure that any debris caused by the loading/unloading of truck is cleaned up.
- Maintain trucks overall service and perform required inspections.
- Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. May include, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Collect any COD money owed and ensure that money is given to the proper personnel upon return to the plant.
- Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems on returned proof of delivery sheets (load sheet)
- Assist in activities related to lean and/or quality.
- Train others when required.

Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Applicable motor vehicle licensing (i.e. CDL class A and/or B or class 1)
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a continuous basis
Preferred Requirements:
- 3-5 years driving experience
